    It appears to be a 3" mortar to me mate.

    Its a 4.2" Mortar Round. Looks like its missing its Fuze. Hope its empty...... Nice find

    Oops sorry, its not 3", I didn't even notice the size on it, it just looked familiar as a mortar.

    Cheers Gary, yep empty and safe. Gee its so heavy and pretty big i thought it must of been dropped via plane

    Is that the date in 2nd pic? 10/58. (October 1958) ??
    I was hoping it was WW2 but cant complian , great condition

    They are pretty scarce to find from any period. Its nice to see with its original markings. A friend is looking gor a spare fin if you come across one.
