    Hi, first post and first luck this weekend in Lower Austria. Found a projectile. was not sure if it was live so left it alone. Please could the knowledgees help out if its live and what is it. Pics have cigarrette box for size ( but approx 75 to 90mm wide, and about 300mm longID of projectile foundID of projectile foundID of projectile found

    It looks live and about 75mm to 80mm diameter - I'm not an expert, but have seen lots of ordnance over the years on various battlefields - It looks to have two or three narrow drive bands, which I have seen on WWI vintage German shells - Good call to leave it be for now.
