    Default Identification help please WWI Turkish 7.5 mm shell and casing

    Hi list

    I picked up this Turkish 7.5 mm shell and casing up a few years back at a local auction in Norfolk UK and have just got around to cleaning it up but have noticed that the the brass casing has I think French stamps plus other counter stamps
    Could this be the matching casing with a re used French case or have they just been put together.
    Any help and info would be greatly appreciated

    Well I think it has been repurposed by the Turks as D E C is Canon 75 de Campagne (French)

    145 L ~ could be the lot number

    C = Cordite loaded

    Thats about what I think it could mean

    17 obviously 1917 DOM
