Identify 105mm artillery shell?

This shell has an exiting story, it have exploded near my home during ww2.

Not too odd for many of you but I live in Sweden, and the war never came here.

More on the story later but first, where does it come from?

The text on it reads:

105 36
CS ARE 42

No experts on artillery grenades?

This is just a guess,it has the letters CS on it,MAYBE it is a type of tear gas projectile?

I notice the 2 copper driving bands are missing and it hasn't exploded. Has it been checked as free from explosive?

The photo shows the other side of it.

This grenade was transported in a German train full of ammunition heading north. On July 19 1941 it stopped in my town and the train caught fire, some say it was an bad brake, other say it was a British agent who did it.
The train exploded and the people living it that part of town thought the war had come! Sweden was never military involved in ww2.

I will make a thread about this event and show the newspaper from the 21 July, when I find the time.
