    Russian RGD-33 Stick Grenade (WWII & Later - Inert-Ord.net
I am just wondered how is info can be screwed up.
I've never heard that Dyakonov grenade was even made by Degtyarev, and it's a absolutely difficult to understand how does the grenade can be made especially for left hand
Then rifle must be also made with left side bolt

One final curious historical footnote about the RGD-33 Hand Grenade...
Former Russian Prime Minister BorisYeltsin, when he was 11 years old during WWII, blew off the thumb and forefinger of his left hand while disassembling a type RGD-33 that he and friends had stolen from a weapons warehouse.
That was a fashionable thing during the ww2 time- soldiers made from the fuses covers for pencils, and a lot of childs lost eyes and hands after the war due of associations with pencils, that is true stories. I think in the time of childhood of Yelzin- there was a lot of ordinance and weapons around. Even today it's not a problem to find fuses and grenades in the town areas of ex-Soviet union
