    Cool My Lo-Budget 88 ( from War & Peace )

OK, I've been rather harsh about the War & Peace Show on another thread.

But, on a more upbeat note, I thought it'd be interesting to show that our hobby can still be enjoyed without a massive bank balance - provided you're ready to look hard.

So, I was pleased to put these two items together from War & Peace (s) ; an 88mm Flak 18 armour-piercing projectile (with correct, narrow driving bands ) bought at W&P last year for £50. And yesterday, a dealer was obviously trying to unload a pile of those ex-Finnish steel shellcases for £15 each. I rummaged through them all to get one with clear base stamps - 1942 dated.

I haven't even had time to clean the rust off. But for £65 all in, it's not a bad historical display item, I think.......
