    Burning out the explosives I gues. Most explosives as TNT, plastics etc. burn great and with only a theoretical danger of detonation. I have done it many times with surplus explosives after demolition of something... It is much easier / cheaper than to transport it back....

    You just have to be asure that there is no second ignition in a grenade, mine etc. with a second detonator - then you have a problem....

    A most interesting thread. The handling and defusing of the live ammunition is impressive.

    I am quite happy to see that the fallen soldiers received a proper burial.

    That ammo was still usable after being left there that long???
    What cal was it and what year?
    and I see the U.S.A Jungle Boots are in a pic..do u like them? and whats the sole pattern? ok im done for now...

    Hi.

    I am very happy you are doing this digging up the fallen to be properley buried.
    The pic that shook me the most and ratteld me was the skull with the german helmet still on it.

    May i as why are you placing the helmets in the fire? If you need rid of them i will make an offer on one or something i can?
