Here is another bit I got this weekend. A nice German incendiary bomb in very nice condition. This is well marked with original fins.
Most I have seen have the British made repro fins that are now made.

When I opened this up, much to my surprise, I found a note on the inside.
I think this is a nice addition to my ordnance collection

Great to have an ID to where the bomb was dropped (The fin that is).
Check out the address ... see if it's still standing ...

Even take a drive down there ....

Well taking a drive down there today may be a problem as I live across an ocean and cannot hold my breath long enough!!! LOL Just Kidding.
I am hoping that one of our forum members may live close and can send photos. But I can goggle the area.
As it is Easter here, I have been very busy, and I just got it before I went away on early Friday morning.

    Thank You

From the u-tube film, it is clear that Whiteladies Road was a long Georgian street.
But, again from the film, it becomes clear that strectches of it have been rebuilt in the near past, which would tally with the firebombing of Bristol.

And a picture of numbers 16 and 18 Whiteladies Road .... (Looks like the buildings that were to the left ((12 - 14)), have gone).
