Old Ammo And Boxes.

Article about: I believe Winchester still make the 30-06 silvertips (the tip was to aid mushrooming) to this day. Cheers Dave

Hey everyone. I thought I'd show these three boxes of ammo that once belonged to my grandfather. I don't know anything about them as this isn't my collecting field but I've always liked them and I display them with my other things.
    Thanks for looking!

Nice boxes. I have the feeling that Zwerge will soon post some more boxes I saw the Win 30-06 in one of his threads. I like this old stuff

Those are pretty cool, are they full of ammo, or empty?

Wow...I've Used ammo from both the Green Remington style boxes And tons of the newer yellow Super X Westerns....and now here they are as "historical packages"....OMG, does That make a person feel Old....lol I think I might even Have a few boxes of shotgun shells like this age around the house somewhere...(Of course, then again, I always liked the Paper shotgun shells better than the newer plastics....they always felt more reassuring when dropping them into the chambers of a good old double barrel..."Kerchunk! Kerchunk!")
