The lower part of the projectile had an incendiary compound that would light up after the bullet hit it's intendend target...Go to the cartridgecollectors.org site to view cartridge of the month, where you can find excellent cross-sectioned cartridges...

Hi Datrus,No 2 is the .350 Rigby Magnum,a British round from 1908. No 3 is is a mauser development from the 1920`s and still in use currently.
