Default Polishing up brass shell cases... whats the best cleaner

I know some people don't like shiny shell cases, but I have just been given a lovely 1915 15cm German shell case which was used here on Jersey at Batterie Lothringen. It was used for many years as the dinner gong at the Portelet Holiday Camp which has long since gone. The family of the Camp have very kindly given it to me for my collection. But it has spent may years gathering green verdigree spots etc. I am looking for something other than good old Braso to clean it with. Do any of you have any suggestions for a appropriate cleaner which will give a good result.
    All the best from Jersey,

As I polish many of my minis I can highly recommend Auto-Sol Damien.
Either that or a product called Flitz.

    Hi Ralph,
I will look them up, and hopefully very soon the shell case will be looking great. I will then display it in my museum.

You can get it from Halfords in the UK.

One thing I used extensively in the Marine Corps to polish our brass buckles, emblems and such is a product called Duraglit.
