Default Question on some Headstamps, 8mm?

    Hello Everyone:

Just picked these up at a gun show today, bought it pretty cheap but I have over 500 rounds of this stuff and I was told it was 8mm. I just have a few questions.

What is the country of orgin?

Pretty sure its 8mm but I could be wrong?

Is this stuff safe to shoot in standard 98's? I just don't want to test the awesome strength of a German Mauser action

    Thanks Everyone:

This is British military 7.92mm armour piercing W Mark II made in 1944 at the Kynoch satellite factory at Standish.

It is made to standard 7.92mm specifications regarding pressure and velocity.
