    Hello folks.

I was very surprised to be able to get one of these from eBay, given their strict policies on such things. It seems I was in the right place at the right time. I couldn't resist this one at the price it was listed for.

This is a rather rough example of a Stockmine 43. It is a later war example, with most of the tan paint still evident on the concrete. It is, of course, missing its explosive charge. The wooden stake used to drive it into the ground is also missing. The fuse is the ZZ42 type, is dated 1943 and has the manufacturer's code 'btb' on the metal part above the threading. I haven't been able to find out which manufacturer this code refers to.

I'm currently attempting to figure out a way to display it in its 'correct' state, that being with the fuse plugged into the top of the cylinder. As it is, it simply drops through. I'm sure I'll work something out soon enough!

A common misconception seems to be that these were improvised mines. But apparently they were factory made. Could be a lot more dangerous than metal mines as well.

Just need to find myself a Glasmine to go with it now!

Many were made in factories near Amiens. I can look on the French sites. If you want....
