    Sorry for the quality Just to clarify it reads WRA 1942 (Winchester Repeating Arms Co), 303.

    Fair enough, but I would not mind betting that that was a nickelled Winchester dummy to start with.

    Could well be. I have found a number of dummy/drill rounds at the site so it's certainly possible.
