Trying the Link thanks Eric
Nope-the 37x144 in the photo has a slight neck narrowing. The shell Mike has is a straight shoulder. If you look at Just the brass case and then the ruler, you'll see that the shell case on his is Right around 5.34 inches. 5.34 " = 135.636 mm I'm still thinking it's a 37x137 1 pounder. the xxxx in a big "C" headstamp is almost certainly American, but I can't think of which company at the moment. Look at the first posted pic of the one on the left that's pointing up. The Left side actually has a kink In while the right side is bulged out where you pointed. Looks like someone might have bent the casing either prying the head out or maybe it jammed. I'll see if I can hunt up a photo of a straight wall in the meantime. I Know I've seen straight necks before somewhere. William
