    Greetings,

    Without measurements, I'd guess its from the British 3" Mortar family of rounds. See here for more pictures of differing rounds. Visual Collector Links - WWII British Mortar Rounds, Mines and PIAT Rounds

    An interesting find, looks like a British 3 inch mortar bomb to me.

    I also agree. Based on the grass in the picture for scale too, I would say 3" mortar round. Probably an old training range.

    Looks like the fuse has gone so it could be in any state. Did they Dem it in situ or pick up and carry away (PUCA)

    Looks like a 60mm or 81mm Practice round to me

    Yup it looks like a mortar round to me!...

    I saw one of these for sale recently, though the fuse and the fins were missing, it looked to have been found on the ground somewhere, though it was painted white which was in pretty good nick so perhaps an old find.
