    Recieved this from my wifes uncle this past weekend what can you guys tell me about it other than it is a 2 inch mortar, Her grandfather was in the rcaf artillery during the war and he brought this back with him I took some pictures of the markings hope you can see them.

    The pictures are really small shaun. Can you upload some bigger ones of the markings please. They can be up to 240kb ish in size.......

    Hi Shaunman,
    The yellow band denotes a practice round. The red paint on the tail indicates it has (did have) a live cartridge fitted. Do you know if it is full of sand?
