    Default Ground dug PAB, maker?

I've been offered this ground dug Panzerkampf Abzeichen which I'd quite like for my Stalingrad relic collection.
I've not yet bought any reference books on Panzerkampf Abzeichen's so i'm quite in the dark as regards the maker. Naturally the badge is in relic condition and thankfully hasn't been cleaned too savagly.

Can anyone hazard a guess as to the maker?

    Cheers
    Glenn

I don't know much about these badges so I apologise if I'm off the mark here but I would question the authenticity of the badge. It doesn't look right to me even in this condition.
Maybe one of the others can help out.

Hi Adrian, I've asked the seller for better photos as these look to be off a scanner. For me the badge appears to be a die stamped item which is rarer than a casting. I would expect a fake to be generally cast. On the minus side the detail looks a little strange around the gun barrel and the swastika so hopefully some clearer shots will shed some light on those areas. I am concerned that the barrel isn't cut away from the rest of the badge so unless someone can pinpoint the maker I think i'm going to reject this one as bad.

I'll also ask if the seller dug this himself, if he says yes then I know he is a liar and that will be the end of our business together.

Well I received better photos but they don't help this badge much. At best I'd say it's a die stamping made from a cast copy? The features are so soft and I can't get over the flashing around the gun barrel. It looks to be made of copper which makes sense that a forger would like a nice soft metal to stamp.

Hopefully the seller replies to my question about whether he found it himself.

The new photos only reinforce my first impression. It looks like an inflatable tank!

With my limited knowledge of these, it still looks bad to me too. Details are just too far off for it to be genuine.
