It's a genuine badge by an unknown maker, sometimes called the 'Juncker type' due to the rear set up that is common with both that maker and on some S&L badges. There are two types of this badge that are almost identical; the 'A' and more common 'B' type. This one is a 'B' type from looking at the slight differences in the headlight definition, smaller circular co-ax MG port and although not easily seen on these photo's, the stippling between the eagle's legs and wings is limited to the upper third of that area on this badge as opposed to covering the entire space on the 'A' type.

The catch, which may be original but has been reshaped, has been re-soldered on at some point.

    Regards, Ned.
