    Hello,

Could somebody tell me something more about this badge, plz.

Is it an original badge, there are so much badges been faked.

The eagle's head looks maybe strange IMO?

It's marked DH: is this a common maker or a more rare maker?

I'm completely new to panzer assault badges.

    Thanks.

This Panzerkampf Abzeichen has the proper hardware for this manufacturer. The manufacturer is Hermann Aurich.
They are not rare, this one appears to be in good condition.
    I hope this helps,
    Ralph.

I agree, an original Hermann Aurich badge that ticks all the right boxes.

thanks for the replies, if you go to this site: Tankbadges and then click on reproductions,it will say that this badge
is a fake because of the hinge.
Just want to make sure that I buy something original and not something fake.
I'm also suspicious because the price is really low: 100 euro the dealer wants.

Good point, it does list this badge as a fake. I was always under the impression that these were accepted as original badges.
Wait for a few more opinions.

It is a fake as far as I know. The real deal has a slightly dished rear while the fake looks to be flat.
As far as I can ascertain, this type of ball hinge was used by A.Scholze and A.D.Schwerdt. H.Aurich had a very unique style hinge as can be seen on the site link provided by Jojo12.

Hats off to you guys if this does turn out to be fake. I've learnt something today.
Can anyone post an example of a genuine Aurich badge that has the different hinge?

You are correct. My apologies, a little too quick of a look. The hinge is incorrect for this maker.
    Sorry, Ralph.

It's just sad that the fakes are really getting (almost) impossible to detect!
Look how good it's made on the obverse and reverse, only the hinge giving it away and
a slight dish on the reverse of the badge.
