I'm pretty certain this is forgery known as 'The Blob Fake'. It's often tried to be passed off as a badge made by Franke & Reif, but I've seen examples with packets maker marked Deumer as well. Wait and see what others say.

these things aren't my specialty but the treads on this badge indict it as the fake the guys see it as from what little i know.

if you take a look at the turret where indicated and the "blobs" on the end of the individual tread links, you'll see the glaring problems here.
Agree with all thats been said,also i do not like the "carbon" staining around the hardware,looks like it was applied the day before yesterday then not finished off.
