Re: Panzer assault badge in bronze
Hi Callum :-) I have an almost identical badge that I bought from a dealer at the gold coast antiques fair as an original. It was bronze like yours, same pin config and hollow back - just like yours. Posted it here and Stewy told me it was a fake. I was gobsmacked. But he detected it based onthe almost conical shape of the turret hatch and the pin setup. I'm sure he'll throw in his ten cents too and I hope yours is original.
Mine was unmarked too and I posted it here in a bid to find the maker.
Cheers
Jimbo

Re: Panzer assault badge in bronze
hi jimbo
yer i bought mine off a dealer from the sydney gun show he one of my best dealer, reliable thats for sure. He told me abit about the badge how its original etc etc but, he has this book only 500 or so were made but it has most of the 3rd reich badges medals etc in it. May sound impossible but i saw it for my self, alot of pages in it. He found out the panzer assault badge in bronze he sold me was original, hopefuly stewy will comment on this thread and tell me what he thinks, but what i want to know is who he maker might be.
thanks
regards callum.

Re: Panzer assault badge in bronze
Looks like barrel needs some Viagra.
Tracks have a bar-bell shape. Seems like mine, which was termed the blob fake.
Hope its not, for your sake.
