    Very nice! Looks textbook -I see no red flags, but if the guy was Wearing it when it got that damage, I'm thinking he didn't have a golden future....

    I love these badges because it makes you wonder what happened.

    Perhaps he did have a golden future Wagriff! Remember, the wound badge comes in gold!

    The badge is original. However, the damage is not from being in battle as some may think, but from a botched attempted repair of the catch. A welding torch or suchlike has melted and blown the reverse of the catch area off, note on the angled shot (last but one) that the material around the catch has 'sunk' due to excessive, localised heat. Not a badge for me, especially at dealer prices.

    It's a rare badge by anyone's standards, but damaged and $950 rare? No thanks...
