what are your thoughts on this badge it came with a inf badge both are oxidized from poor storage.
I could not find anything to compare it to

Not an easy one this, what with the corrosion and, I believe, the makers mark covered with solder from the hinge fitting. I think it's a small 'w' Wurster in zinc which is a rarer variant (1.2.4b).
What makes it an exception is that it appears to be a bronze grade whereas nearly all small 'w' badges were silver.
Secondly, the hardware configuration differs from the norm in that it has a sheet metal wraparound hinge instead of the normal block hinge, the tombak "?" remains the same. The badge is made from the 3rd die used by Wurster for zinc production (although a handful of tombak ones have been discovered in recent years), the grass design being slightly different than the previous 'chaos' and 'organised' patterns.
It's a shame the badge is in so rough a condition when you consider it's scarcity.
