Panzerkampfabzeichen fake or original

Hi,

I'm a new member in this forum and a "young" collector.
Last weekend I've got a Panzerkampfabzeichen, but I don't know exactly, if it's an original.
Please give me an advice. thanks a lot for your help.

There is something about the mark on the pin at the hinge that has to be checked ..... I forget.

A fake badge. Compare to Ralph's silver example here and note the differences on the reverse and also the trimming outline and obverse details.

Hi Ulli,

As said it's a repro badge that's known as "The Aurich 1.8.1. Fake" and comes in various guises including the correct Aurich crimp set up and also with a ball hinge and sometimes marked AS in Triangle. The material used is high quality and the badge rather thick yet overall is undersize all around that shows it's a casting.
