I would say this is a fake al the AS in triangle PAB i have seen have the ball hinge.

Upon gazing more at this, i wonder if this is not Pewter instead of Aluminum? No way its zinc... The steel hingepin is rusting at contact with the other metal. pewter can do this from galvanic corrosion. Just a guess
