I came across this badge today on a vendor web site. The front side of the badge looks to have most of its silver wash intact. I became interested and checked out the obverse side. To me "no expert" the hinge does not look correct. Original badges have quite a few tells, this badge has none of them. Second picture is of a real hindge. Wondering if I am right.

Your thoughts are correct John, the one you posted is not an original.
And, it is not EH, it is HA for the maker Hermann Aurich.

Thanks Ralph for your quick reply on this badge. I found several more suspicious tank badges on this site for sale with very high prices. I have found that this hobby you must do your homework. You probably also check out this site like me, it is located in the US.
