Panzerkampfabzeichen RELIC. Opinions please

I am told this is a ground dug relic, and i have the option to get a variety of other badges. I would like some opinions on this one. Thank you.

One of the better looking ground finds, relatively speaking it's in good condition. Do you know where it was dug up? Looking at the wear to the obverse it appears it might have sat on or just under the surface and been exposed to some form of traffic wearing away and scratching the highlights.
Maybe one of the 'diggers' on the forum will lend their opinion.

Thank you for the help. This was with a pile of gear found in a hole in Belgium.
Some items are in remarkable condition, but many are ruined. Here are a couple more that had worse luck, the dagger was with them.
