    Hi there, no immediate red flags. But better straight on pics would help & be better to help folks with researching. Stewy

    I believe the circular mounting guide for the catch is too large and the ball hinge should have a flat on the top. It looks good but I believe it is a copy.
    As Stewy says, better, straight on photos would help. Very good copies of these do exist.

    Better pic's that are close up of the catch and it's crimped base from a couple of angles are critical. It's too early to write this one off yet, but the pic's are crap. A.S. did use un-flattened ball hinges on some of their production badges.

    Thanks for the additional pics. Another showing the rounded end of the catch taken from the right hand side would really be useful. But looking at the crimped base and especially the pressure foot on the hinge, it's shape and the flattened sides. I'm calling this good. Please take some more shots of the catch from different angles, but I think you have a winner on the evidence so far.
