    Hi Doug,

You've got it down to pat. The only thing to add is it's a very nice type 'B' badge.

There were two separate types, 'A' and 'B'. Whether these were two different dies or a single die that was reworked at some point is not known for sure. Suffice to say the differences between the two were slight, the type 'B' had a slightly smoother finish between the eagles wings and legs, the co ax MG port was smaller in size and the driving headlights were better defined around the rims compared against the type 'A' badge. Of the type 'B' badges close to 99% are bronze grade, making the silver grade of that type very rare and desirable to collectors.

    Regards, Ned.

It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

    Perfect Ned,
thank you for sharing your excellent knowledge.
I did get the gist that there were two types and could as you mention only find tiny differences with the feathers near the legs and the slightly pepple dashed appearance between the legs and swastika arms.
Another addition to my expanding Panzer Division!!
    All the best
    Doug
