Help with pin and medal identification

I believe this is WWII but not sure. Does someone know anything about this and its value?

Just a guess but I think this is a Norwegian medal of some sort. I suggest cross referencing the VII with Norway and the period 1940-1945 and see what comes up.

The medal was issued to the Norwegians who fought against Germany during the war.
No idea about the medal value.
Up here in the north is fairly common.
