    Igor, I would guess that 1960's - 70's is about right for this example. This cross appears OK, but it is not an area I collect in so my opinion has little value. The PRL era is not yet subject to the extent of rampant counterfeiting activity as pre-war and exile, but as interest grows it's only a matter of time.

    I know about little value, but was only 229 crosses and for me - this cross for WW2 soldier ( not Order 1st class for Brezsnev )

    Just to clarify, I was not suggesting that your cross is of little value! . . .but rather my opinion as I am not at all knowledgeable on these post war VM's.

    Hi Tony,

    I'm not sure about value , but in socialist Poland ( 1943-1987 ) was
    4871 Orders VM V klass and only 229 crosses IV klass
    ( from Stela's book )

    For me - good Order

    " My Father was born on 10th January 1921 Rytwiany Poland , son of Wincenty dead on 24th May 1977,Polish Army 2nd Infantry Regiment Sandomierz . Regards Vince "
