    Default Medal cerificate

Hi, anyone could give an idea of how much a paper certificate for a kreigsverdienstkreuz could be worth?
    Thanks.

Hi Nuno, prices can vary on these a bit. Obviously one to a soldier in a well known unit would be worth more.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi, Ade, thanks for the input, less than 20 euros would be too cheap, right?

Would this one be ok? Paper is always tricky, especially over the internet.

    No good.

It looks like a fake aged down with cold tea.

But more than that, look at the ink stamp. Why would it be marked to the Staff of Inf Regt 17......Nothing to do with his unit.

    Cheers, Ade.

I wouldn't buy that. The final photograph shows various items including fake ink stamps. Ask yourself what can somebody with fake ink stamps attempt to create...? Stay well clear Nuno.

    Regards,

    Carl

You're welcome Nuno. For reference, make a note of those ink stamps shown in the final picture. They fool many, many people. At first glance, they appear old and have very clear stamp heads. When you actually use one with ink, the markings can appear exactly the same as are found on original documents. However, the form is incorrect, the original stamps were not that shape, and the wooden handles have all been artificially aged, look closely and scratches are often found. If you ever see that form of ink stamp, it is a replica, likely from Poland originally.

    Regards,

    Carl
