The hammer has 2 lines of writing, I can't make out the top line, but the date says Jan 1942, could it be a New Years party? "Breaking" in the new year? hehe

I agree: "ROV./JAN. 1942", which would appear to stand for "ROVANIEMI/JANUAR 1942"
(In January 1942, the new Lapland-Army was established under Dietl's command. His headquarters were at Rovaniemi.)
