Ausweis for children under 15

Hi,

This is an interesting ausweis for children up to or under the age of 15, if I am not wrong. What makes it interesting even more is the fact that the holder was Jewish, thus the added red "J" top left and that he was also stateless, maybe a refugee.
He immigrated to British Palestine via Italy in 1939. Pity has no photo.

He was lucky to be able to emigrate when he did. No doubt it saved his life.

Yes, not many managed to get out. Here is another aexample:

One ID issued to one who immigrated to Palestine, 1939;
Another, she was deported to Lodz Ghetto and dies on January 1, 1942.

I guess one can try finding him in the phone directory for Tel Aviv...
Many young Jews who left Nazi Germany before the war ended up joining the British army and fighting Romel in North Africa. I have met some, 20 years ago and also have here the soldiers paybook and a certificate that he was a POW.
