Nice image. The other guys are Italian. Possibly Paras or MVSN.

    Cheers, Ade.

I'm probably stating the obvious here, but one of the German officers is from the Heer (apparently said Oberstleutnant Mühle) and the other one from the SS.

Would it be possible to see a higher-resolution version?

(And just of curiosity and since I know practically nothing about that subject: Can anybody ID the vehicle in the background? Some kind of armored truck?)

I'll try to get a better resolution. However, there are a series of these original photographs and they all measure 2.5" x 3.5". All of them are marked showing different cars. I'll see if I can scan them a little better. Italy would make sense. I have a bunch of items from a friends grandfather who was in Italy in 1945.

The vehicle looks to be almost certainly a WWI era German Ehrhardt E-V/4 Armoured Car. It may have been somewhat modified for WWII,though, as there looks to be small differences. Perhaps the German Army and SS officers were amused by the sight of it and posed by it with the Italian crew?

I hate to admit it but my scanner isn't the best. I am trying to get the other images scanned and uploaded asap.
