What an amazing coincidence, the postie dropped this off not more than 25 minutes ago, after I posted the thread wanting pics of the ruined Chancellery! No ruined pics here but It has the dust jacket which is pretty rough but the rest of the book is in good condition. It is the original 1939 print and still has the fold out blue prints of the Chancelley and some terrific photos of the building. Cheers, Dave.

    Nice find, Davo!

More photos of the pages would be great, when you get time, if you would share.

No worries fellas, here's some more. The book is filled with great pics, mostly black & white but there are some very nice colour pics too.

......and a few more, it must have been a very impressive building for a couple of years. The large marble pillars in the second pic down actually used the roof of the infamous bunker as their foundation. It must have been extremely solid to take the weight of those things and the roof of the Chancellery on top of that.

What a great book. I bet that building was a sight to see. We have a family friend who was a boy during the war, living in Berlin. I wonder if he ever had the chance to see the Chancellery building in all it's glory.
