Re: Card postal with writing and Strange picture :)
I am having trouble with the handwriting, so there are some blanks. Here's what it says:
"Mein allerliebstes Kikilein!
Schnell diesen Kartengruß, kommen nach
Krasnik, [...] über Lublin. Dort ist es
ganz schön, keine Wache, es sind 9 Mann für
Wache dort. Wenig zu tun und ich bin froh
darüber, dort kann ich mich pflegen. Ich schrei-
be Dir von dort ausführlich. Einen Koffer
lasse ich auf [...] kommen. [...] [...]
fahre ich ab, hoffentlich bin ich im Laufe des
Tages dort. Mit frohen Grüßen und ganz süßen
Küsschen, Dein [...] Jürgen."
...meaning:
"My dearest Kikilein!
Quickly these greetings by card; we are going to Krasnik, [...] via Lublin. It is quite nice there; no guard duty, there are 9 men as guards there. Not much to do and I am glad about it, I can look after myself there. When I am there, I will write to you more exhaustively. I shall have one suitcase sent to [...]. Will be leaving [...] [...]; hopefully I will arrive there in the course of the day. With joyful greetings and very sweet kisses, your [...] Jürgen."

Re: Card postal with writing and Strange picture :)
As I think someone has already mentioned in the other thread, it is a saddle for a horse.
You never know, it might even be the grave of a favoured horse.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
