    Default citation for the Julleuchter!

    Hi All,

posted this on another website & got it translated:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    "To my SS-comrades!

I give this Julleuchter to you. It is reproduced after an old example from the early past of our people.
It´s lights should burn in the night of the turn of the year, which - after our present tradition - is the night from the 31st December to the 1st January.
The smal candle, that is inside the candle holder, may burn as symbol of the last hour of the passed year.
The large candle may flare up in the first moment when the new year starts.
There is a deep wisdom in the old tradition.
Might each SS-man see extinguish the small flame of the old year with pure, clean heart and ignite the flame of the New Year´s light with raised will.
This I wish you and your clan today and into all future.

    Heil Hitler,

    H. Himmler"

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My question is what would be a fair price for this document? Have looked on the internet & apparantly they are quite rare.

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Cheers
    Chris

I don't know about stampings on these H, but I thought that all SS documents, including this citation, should bear the watermark 'Koh-i-Noor' with a small castle/tower design above it?

Thanks for the replies guys, have done a little more research on the net & come across a couple of websites showing the julleuchter for sale with document like mine... can't see any additional watermarkings or stampings on either of the documents shown (of course my eyes aint what they used to be :-)).

    Links are as follows

    Julleuchter, ‘K’ with Original Document

Could still do with an idea of a fair price for my document...

    Cheers

PS hope external website owners don't mind me using their sites as reference points.
