just picked these up, thought I would share.
Very nice! I really enjoy period colorized photos. The 1st one was done very well, and the second one must have been tricky to do for the foto-atelier.
The first one also comes with a written letter by the soldier in the pic. In German, so do not understand it.
It says something to the effect of: "Warm greetings from Belojien(?), from your comrade Walter". Brussels, Nov. 17, 1940. Im not that great at translating either, but I think this is the jist of it. haha
belojien is probably Belgium
My thought as well.....but wasn't completely sure
