Guys,

My second favourite item today.

This small booklet was presented to a crew member on posting/retirement.

It is signed by the Captian and is IMO a very well put together keepsake.

Presented on board and presumably cherised until sold on by family?

A nice book to the only ship of her class to survive the Norwegian Campaign.
As an aside I work in the main sea training organisation for the RN and we currently have the latest Koeln undertaking our intensive 6 week work-up.

I suppose it is like us in that when we loose them we make another, I cant remember how many Ark Royals there have been.

Jock mentioned the Ark Royal, So I sent him a MSG asking if he would not mind. If I was to share a Little Flag with you on his thread. Taken with Permission from HMS Ark Royal in 1976. By Crew Member Before he Retired from Service, He was also Given the Rum Barrel, Which is also in the Family.

It comes out every England World Cup game, Hanging from First Floor window it touches the Ground, thats not if its Raining!
