Not sure if I am reading this right, but is this also your family name?

I don't think the two guys shown are related. Different places of birth and they do not look very alike.

My German Grandfather was Joseph Knoll, not in a war or military,died in Phila. Pa 1947, when I saw that name on the card, i had to have it and just found Hugo .. don't know how many death cards there are with KNOLL on it but i collect them now
