Does this look like an authentic document? I've tried comparing with genuines I have found on different sites, but this is the first I have ever had in hand so I'm not sure. Thanks!

Looks good to me
I actually like this one, but it's somewhat hard to tell from a photo if it's a print or not.
The paper seems to have a nice colour, and the fold looks good

It looks good to me! Schuetze Hoffman's unit, I believe, was wrapping up its fight with the French 3rd Army Group at that time.
Out of curiosity, what are the dimensions of it? I have never actually seen one of these in person.
Ob: It's about 5.5 inches wide, just shy of 8 inches tall.
The citation is signed by Walther Wollmann. After he left 258 Infanterie Division in late July/early August 1940 he didn't command another frontline unit for the remainder of the war so didn't win any high end awards such as the RK or DKiG. His other postings for the war were:
Insp. d. Ostbefestigungen, General z.b.V d. General d. Pionier & Insp. d. Landbefestigungen West.
Here is another pic taken with a better camera. Maybe the detail will be better.
Go figure I bought one signed by someone that didn't go anywhere in the High Command. Just my luck, lol.
I still like it.........!

Steve.
I'm afraid most of the guys from that unit didn't make it very far. After France, they fought their way to Moscow, fought in Orel and Kursk, and pretty much all over the Eastern Front before it was eventually encircled and completely destroyed in Romania. In short, it would have sucked to be in his regiment.
...

Steve.
