    I wonder what ever happened to this Heinkel He-162 "Volksjaeger" that was displayed in Hyde park, in London. (AP Photo)

    Some great photos thanks for posting the link

    update = = =

    Maybe this was the fate of the He-162: ..........On 9 November 1945 during a demonstration flight from RAE Farnborough one of the fin and rudder assemblies broke off at the start of a low-level roll causing the aircraft to crash into Oudenarde Barracks,Aldershot killing Marks and a soldier on the ground.

    Nice photos! Thanks for sharing the link with us! I think most of these banners ended up in the Great Patriotic War Museum in Moscow...

    I saw the banners in a exhibit that came through Memphis Tn. several years ago, the same company that arranged the Titanic touring exhibits. The theme of the show was The war through Russian eyes. A good portion of the exhibit was items taken from Berlin over 100 Standards, items from the Reich Chancellery and the bunker , items from Hitler's apartment, personal items from Goering and other high ranking German officials. I would love to see it again.

    Wow! That must have been quite an exhibition! How many years ago was that?
