Jock, what are the letters with the stamps that look like the King and Queen of England on them? Are those letters going to POWs through the Red Cross? They have the royal looking stamps along with the German ink stamp.

Sadly you can't see the detail even on zoom but it is a DRK sister dressing a soldiers left arm, within the DRK franking theme. It is also bilingual in German and I suppose Checlosovakian (spelling, I know!).

I think the red ones are for packages and are not that often found?

Yeah, they were issued to soldiers to send parcels. Each stamp is not extremely rare, but not as common as say the often seen Hitler profile stamp. I'm sure finding uncut ones are always rare though...
