Hi Ade,

Here is the forced-registration card for the same individual who had the ration card issued, Izak Schreiber.
Probably his lat remaining document before death.I added a scan of his pre-war university ID, then rubber stamped by the Soviets authorities on relocation in 1939 (right).

Very sad.

Yes, he managed to escape east when the war broke out in 1939 but was not that lucky in 1941. Only about 100,000 Jews managed to go after the fleeing Red Army in the first few eeks of the war in 1941, the rest did not.
