I saw this picture and others a lot and I've always wondered what the strange round little building is with the peaked roof....
    Does anybody knows?

Dave: The Bundesarchiv is difficult to deal with, but I have never gotten that particular response from them, though it doesn't surprise me. The US National Archives is equally difficult to deal with. But there might be another source for the photo you want. Battle of Britain Prints International, Ltd. in London might have it. I don't have their web address, but I'm sure you can find it. They published Tony Le Tessier's book, Berlin Then and Now. Good luck. Dwight

G'day Dwight, thank you very much mate, I will have a search for their website it shouldn't be too hard to track down. I think the Bundesarchiv are concerned mostly about what purpose someone would want a picture like that for and it is difficult to explain to them why I want it without sounding like I'm building some sort of shrine to hitler, which I'm definitely not! I originally thought this would be an easy project but it has been more difficult than I imagined. Thanks again, Dwight, I appreciate your help,
    Cheers, Dave.

Tell the Bundesarchiv you want the print because your grandfather was in the Red Army and got shot and died in front of that particular part of the building. Prove he didn't...lol
