Ok folks, I've just come home from my mate the printers with this pic, as I said before, it is not the fuhrerbunker or the Chancellory which is what I really wanted but it is a spectacular photograph that has enlarged really well and I think it will display the plate very nicely. I reckon I'll block mount the pic, attach the plate roughly where it is in this pic and get a trophy engraver to make up a small plaque saying something along the lines of "This small plate was taken from Hitler's underground bunker, deep beneath the ruins of Berlin by a British army officer, just days after Hitlers suicide and the fall of Berlin in May 1945." I've stuck my silly looking foot in the pic to give it scale, so you can see the size of the photo. I think this pic has come out really well, it should make an overall nice display. When it is done I will post the pics here.

    Cheers, Dave.

Your welcome Tez, they say a picture is worth a thousand words and I reckon a good photograph really can put the piece you want to display into its rightful historical context.

Yes I argee with you Dave never really thought of the idea myself.. But thinking about it could make any display a 1000 times better with the right picture..Cheers Terry.

Thanks Steve, as I mentioned before, it is not exactly what I wanted but it certainly shows the damage and the ferocity of the fighting in those final few hundred metres before hitler effectively ended the Third Reich by doing something he should have done 20 years earlier, putting a bullet in his head. I think the final display will look pretty good.

Awesome Pic Dave.. its nice to see that when a photo of this size does not pixelate,, but it looks you have some incredible detail in this photo. Looking forward to the final presentation when it is completed.

The only pixelated thing in that pic Larry is my foot and that has nothing to do with resolution!lol
