Found some more info for you...There were 2 forced labor camps for Jews in Grunberg (Zwangsarbeitslager fur Juden), one for men, the other for women. They worked
for the Deutsche Wollwaren Manufaktur AG (Wool Products). Grunberg was a satellite camp of the Ravensbrueck Women's Concentration Camp...
I collect German awards and documents...
    cheers, Glenn

    Tnx.
The drivers license dates from 1944 so it is most likely too late for the time when Jews where put to work, most where liquidated in 1942.
I collect WW2 documents and lately, well, last 6 years, old passports with a strong connection to 1918-1922 and WW2. Polish, German and Israeli diplomatic/service passports from 1933-1950 are on my want list 8)
I have a friend that his grandfather brought to Israel in 1949, immigrating from Germany after leaving a DP camp, the wound badge from July 20, 1944. He brought it with other papers and stuff he wanted to keep. 10 years ago I met another person in my home town that his father was a colonel attached to Zhukov when entering the the chancellery in May 1945, he too took items back home and later to Israel. So this country is full of stories and memorabilia...
    Rgrds,

This friend has a July 20,1944 Wound Badge? Is there any chance on seeing any photos of it?
