    Default The German Mother and Her First Child.

    I picked these up recently to compliment my Mutterkreuz collection.

    A book entitled 'The German Mother and Her First Child' and a photo of a German mother wearing her Mutterkreuz and with (I'm guessing) her four children.

    The book is basically a guide to being a mother for the first time. It is mainly text with the odd image thrown in.
    There is the mechanics of the female undercarriage of which I'm sure we're all familiar - although not experts, a few images showing nappy changing, clothing patterns, breast feeding, cots and changing stations, even a mention of the SS(?).
